Hello, builder
Arct Developments is a young team making open source easier to start, easier to enjoy and easier to share. We write software in public, and we are building a community that cheers for each other's work.
// vision
Most people meet open source as a repository they are nervous to touch. We want to change that first impression. Arct exists to make open source familiar: to show how projects are really made, what a first contribution looks like, and why sharing code is one of the kindest things a developer can do.
We are also building a community around it, a circle of people who love open source and say so out loud. Someone fixes a typo in the docs. Someone ships a feature. Someone designs the banner. All of it counts, and all of it gets credit.
We are students, so we learn in public. We ship, we break things, we fix them, and we write down what we found so the next person has an easier start than we did.
Plain-language docs, readable code and honest write-ups of how we build, so a newcomer can follow along.
Clear issues, patient reviews and thanks that arrives before the merge, not after.
Credit is part of how we work. We name the people, projects and ideas we build on, and we ask others to do the same for us.
Every project is a classroom. Mistakes stay in the history and the lessons go in the docs.
Where we are heading
// story
Atishay lives in Jharkhand and Vedant lives in Chhattisgarh. They never shared a classroom. They met on Discord, where a love of open source and anime gave them plenty to talk about, and the conversation turned into building.
In 2024 the two friends started Team Realmx. Since then they have worked across many fields, including cloud, server hosting, Discord bots and Android apps, and learned how to plan, ship and maintain real software together from two different cities.
In 2026 the team took a new name, Arct Developments, along with a clearer purpose: build useful things in the open and bring more people into open source with them. Same two friends, bigger ambition.
Two online friends from Discord decide to build together and put a name on it.
Cloud, server hosting, Discord bots, Android apps and more, including KatMusic.
A new name and a sharper mission: open source, made familiar.
Shipping KatMusic updates and opening the door for contributors.

A native Android music app built around YouTube Music. It plays without ads, downloads for offline listening, shows word-by-word synced lyrics, and ships a parametric equaliser and an automix engine that blends one track into the next.
KatMusic is an independent project and is not affiliated with Google or YouTube.

Open an issue →// how we work
Every Arct project follows the same path. Vedant leads, Atishay assists, and the whole thing happens in public.
An idea comes up between the two of us. We talk it through and decide whether it is worth building.
As lead, Vedant sets the goal, picks the stack and decides what ships first.
The code gets written in the open, one commit at a time, with both of us in the repository.
Feedback, issues and pull requests shape the result. We keep what helps and simplify the rest.
Atishay builds the website, designs the graphics and plans the launch posts and marketing.
We release under an open licence, credit everyone we build on, and invite the community in.
// donate
Everything we make is free. If our work helped you, a donation pays for the tools, hosting and time that go into the next project. Pick whichever method suits you.
